Not so long between posts this time...
Just handed off a new website to the boys of Cut Yourself In Half.
Just in time for their new album (Mekkanizm) release, at the end of the month.

Well it's become apparent that blogging really isn't my thing, but here's an update on what's been going on.
You've probably notice the mild redesign of the site, this is an effort to take the brand and apply it to all outward projections of my profile. I've also rewritten and redesigned my C.V. which now holds more information and follows the brand aesthetic. This consistency will be applied to other materials that are in the pipeline.
The above exercise forms part of a concerted effort to find work, not the easiest of things in the present climate and with the competition for work/jobs. I've also sorted out my LinkedIn profile, there's a link at the bottom-left of the site, if you want to check it out. I've also joined PeoplePerHour as another avenue to find work.
So, fingers crossed, business will hopefully be more fruitful this year.
...and the updates should be more frequent.

My first competition entered on the 99 Designs web-site, 'New book or magazine cover wanted for The Five-Year Entrepreneur.'
The 'client' commented thus; "A really clever/novel take on the brief ... thanks for this. I will 'soak' on this some more in contrast with other options. Thanks for your creativity."

I've been working on series of 're-usable' posters, for Rockers and Rollers. There will be different styles produced for the client to choose from, with the rest being archived for future use (either for Rockers or for other clients).

It's been a couple of days, but seems longer. Not been resting on my laurels though, there are now several new ideas that are being finalised.

Sent the Boys at Cut yourself In Half the t-shirt design, below, to see if it's something they'd be interested in, if not it'll be going into production as an Übel design anyhow. When I hear back, either way, I'll be finalising the design and getting it to print.

The code supplied by Facebook doesn't meet W3C standards, so a disclaimer needed to be added along with the reformatting that went with it...

I've been working on the Shop section and the first two items that will be sold; the Crimbo Bingo Advent Calendar (this will become available when printed) and the Anologital II Poster (this will Become available when I've replaced the relevant cartridges on my printer).

The original illustration seemed to have something missing and it did, a tonearm. I've now added one and I'm in the process of tidying the image up and getting it ready to print.
Anologital II will be available to buy in the Shop, as a limited edition giclée print.

For one of the things I'm working on I required something to symbolise "Cut Here" so I illustrated the knife you see above. Once it was done though I thought it'd look great on a tee. The idea then to add the red line was a natural progression and lowering the image to the waist of the garment has been done to show how this design could work as merch. for a band I know.

Updated C.V. Created and uploaded. Given it the look of an old pro-forma, with hand typed information. Fits better with the aesthetic of the site.
