With the advent of new media, alarmists are predicting the downfall of print media. This isn't something that is likely to happen over night, if at all.
Whilst the news media are having to evolve to meet the changing demands of their market, the world of advertising hasn't felt such an impact. On the contrary, the emergence of the Internet has added another string to the metaphorical bow.
Print is not dead...
In the same way that radio wasn't extinguished by television, so it will work out for print.
Print design is where my heart is. Creating anything from a business card to a hand-stitched book (see Übel Press) is never boring.
